As the year comes to a close, there's a buzz in the air — the Advent of Code 2023 is just around the corner!
For those unfamiliar, Advent of Code is an annual coding competition that combines the festive spirit with algorithmic challenges. It's the perfect opportunity to improve coding skills or learn a new programming language.
Challenges
This year, the topic of artificial intelligence (AI) cannot be ignored. Especially large language models (LLM) such as ChatGPT have become powerful tools and can provide support in everyday life.
However, the intention behind Advent of Code is to challenge the human intelligence. Even if it is very tempting to use these new possibilities, it cannot replace the joy of having solved a puzzle yourself.
